Have you ever seen the wind?
I have felt a breeze
That made my hairs stand up
Been warmed
By a blast from the south
But I have never seen the wind that caused it.
I have watched
Trees shaken in grizzly gale
Bereft of all their leaves
They stood bare and shivering
But I have never seen the wind that caused it
Storms rage
Blustering through the atmosphere
We retreat behind closed doors
It whistles through the letter box
Yet I cannot see the wind causing it
A draught creeps
Through the cracks of the old house
Carrying
The fresh smell of autumn rain
Yet I cannot see the wind that caused it.
Have you ever seen the wind?
