With reference to I Didn’t mean for That to Happen, I was recently asked,
‘Why did you write this book?’

I couldn’t answer immediately.
It seemed a big and important question.
One that needed time and consideration,
like writing the chapter of a book.
You want it to sound right.
You want it to pack a punch and
move the story forward significantly.
So, you rewrite as many times as it takes to get it right.
Worthwhile because it could influence people’s perspective.
Hours later, the office floor is strewn with
crumpled sheets of paper.
In the silent frustration,
one simple question comes to mind:
What’s on your heart?
Be sincere.
The truth is, I wrote this book because
it was the story that came pouring out
when I sat down to write.
It’s a story of misunderstanding,
of jealousy,
of making choices that lead to dire consequences,
of change and
of triumph.
It’s a life in Africa that could be a life on any continent.
We are all human after all.
That is why I wrote the story.

I hope you enjoy it enough to buy a copy.

Thank you for reading this far.
Cheering you on!
